Exterior texture paint has a harder job than interior paint. It faces sun, monsoon rain, dust and pollution every day. The right finish keeps your elevation looking new for years and protects the plaster underneath. Here are the Luxture texture finishes made for exterior walls, and how to choose between them.
Every product on this page is manufactured by Luxture Surface Coatings, an ISO 9001:2015 certified company in Ajmer, Rajasthan. For interior ideas see interior texture paint, and for the full design gallery see texture paint designs.
What to look for in exterior texture paint
A breathable binder
Silicone or silicon acrylic binders let moisture vapour escape from the wall, so the film does not blister. Roller Coat, Rustic and Prulina all use this type of binder.
Reinforcement against cracks
Fibre-reinforced films (Rustic, Prulina, Stone Finish) hold together when the wall moves slightly with heat and cold.
Protection from fungus and algae
Look for fungicides and biocides in the formulation, especially on north-facing and shaded walls.
A top coat for stone looks
Granite and stone systems need a clear top coat that keeps dirt and dust off the surface.
Luxture finishes for exterior walls
Roller Coat
Quartz powder, earthen minerals and pigments in a silicone acrylic binder. Vapour permeable, resists mould, algae, acid and frost. Our most preferred exterior-grade weatherproof coating.
Rustic Texture
Fibre-reinforced quartz and dolomite in silicon acrylic, with fungicides and biocides. Deep vertical, horizontal or swirl grooves in Sumo 2.8 mm, Regular 2 mm and Fine 1.5 mm.
Prulina
Quartz and dolomite in a silicon acrylic medium with a web of synthetic fibres. Crack resistant, does not peel even in damp conditions, in natural stone colours.
Spray Coat
A spray-applied 3D texture of quartz and calcite with acrylic copolymers. Water-resistant, fungus and fade resistant, and it does not hold dust in polluted areas.
Stone Finish
A 3-pack system that recreates natural stone and granite, reinforced with polymer filaments and sealed with a TC 500 or TC 1000 top coat.
Granitone
The shot-blasted granite look at an economical price, with a TC-500 top coat that is anti-dirt, anti-dust and anti-fungal. Shades can be matched to other granites.
Antique Coat
Coarse, trowel-applied faux stone, rough-cast slab and block effects in a pure acrylic binder, for heritage-style elevations.
Concretone
A micro-fibre reinforced nanocement plaster for an exposed concrete look on modern elevations, without casting real concrete.
Lime N Clay
A 100% natural heritage plaster of hydraulic lime and clay. It lets walls breathe, which suits heritage buildings and restoration work.

Before you apply
Exterior texture should go on clean, sound and fully cured cement plaster. Repair cracks and leaks first, treat damp or salt-affected walls, and follow the technical data sheet for each product. Shade cards and data sheets are in the Luxture catalogue.
Frequently asked questions
Which texture paint is best for exterior walls?
It depends on the look you want. For a classic grooved or textured elevation, Roller Coat, Rustic and Prulina are made for exteriors. For a natural stone or granite look, choose Stone Finish or Granitone, which come with a protective top coat.
Will exterior texture paint crack or peel?
Rustic, Prulina and Stone Finish contain a built-in web of synthetic fibres that reinforces the film. This makes the coating crack resistant and stops it from peeling, even in damp conditions, as long as it is applied on a sound, cured surface.
Does exterior texture paint stop fungus and algae?
Rustic and Prulina contain fungicides and biocides, Roller Coat is formulated to prevent mould and algae, and Spray Coat is fungus and fade resistant. Good drainage and repair of leaks still matter, because no coating can fix a wall that stays wet from inside.
Can texture paint be used on damp walls?
Walls with dampness, salt or efflorescence should first be treated. Dekor Plast is a breathable renovation plaster that controls salt migration and lets the wall dry out, and it finishes with a decorative texture.
Do exterior walls need a top coat?
Stone-look systems do. Stone Finish uses a clear protective top coat (TC 500 water-borne or TC 1000 solvent-borne) and Granitone uses TC-500, which adds anti-dirt, anti-dust and anti-fungal protection in glossy, satin or matt.
